Easy Baked Mac and Cheese (No Roux Needed)
This creamy baked mac and cheese skips the stovetop hassle and delivers big comfort with minimal prep. It’s a hit at parties, potlucks, and casual events.
Ingredients
- 1 lb elbow macaroni 
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese 
- 2 cups whole milk 
- 1 cup heavy cream 
- 1 tsp garlic powder 
- Salt and pepper to taste 
- Optional: ½ cup panko breadcrumbs + 2 tbsp butter (for topping) 
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 baking dish. 
- Cook Pasta until just under al dente. Drain and pour into the dish. 
- Add Cheese & Liquid: Pour in milk, cream, garlic powder, salt, and half the cheese. Mix to combine. 
- Top & Bake: Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Add buttered breadcrumbs if using. 
- Bake Uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
